Buttermilk Biscuits! (*an easy to do recipe for quick biscuits)

I call these beauties "Blind Buttermilk Biscuits".

If you’re not a breakfast person, these can be made savory by adding cheese or sundried tomatoes or tons of garlic and herbs.

There are tons of biscuit recipes, but this one is easy to come together and can be mixed, cut and baked within an hour. Now that's fast.

Biscuit recipe::

2.5 cups self rising flour

1 stick butter, shredded

1 cup buttermilk or reg milk

1/4 t salt

1 T sugar

That’s it! Mix all ingredients in a large bowl. Making sure everything stays fairly cold/cool. Turn dough out onto lightly floured surface. Pat out into a rectangle. I try not to use a rolling pin as it heats up the dough and (I believe) stunts the growth of the biscuit. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Anyway, pat it out. Then fold in half and pat again. Do this 3-4 times. When done, stamp out biscuits or cut using sharp knife. Bake at 450 for 20 minutes, or until tops are browned and toothpick through largest biscuit comes out clean. Brush tops with melted butter and dig in!

Hope y'all enjoy xoxo
